Since the early 20th century there have been groups which have walled themselves off from the Church concerning changes that were afoot around the world and in the Church. The leading issue, like the tip of a spear that sparked some to set themselves apart in resistance to these changes, was the introduction of a new calendar - often called the Revised Julian Calendar. The Gregorian Calendar, having been rejected over it's altered paschalion , was hybridized to keep the old calendar paschalion. The increasing tensions, including state persecution, lead this resistance to bunker down in it's convictions and lead the division to be solidified. These in resistance are called derisively Old Calendarists. This volume seeks to be sourcebook concerning Old Calendarism. The perspectives included in this volume range from sympathetic to highly critical.
It is hoped that this book will promote understanding and dialogue in Christian Love by creating a greater awareness of the significance of the Calendar and of those who in accordance with their conscience make a stand by it.

New Release: Meet the Fathers
The Society for Orthodox Apologetics was formed in November 2009 with the intent of creating a website which would provide those inquiring into Orthodoxy with information and answers to questions, provide an Orthodox perspective on modern issues, and address the claims of various heterodox, heretical, and anti-Christian organizations and individuals.
A special and greatly honored class of Church Fathers, called the "Apostolic Fathers," are those Fathers who lived in the first and second centuries. As the title of this class implies, many of the Apostolic Fathers were friends and disciples of Apostles. Some, such as St. Polycarp of Smyrna and St. Ignatius of Antioch, were appointed directly by Apostles to take over leadership of the Church after the passing of the Apostles. The writings of the Apostolic Fathers are our greatest source of information on the early Christians' beliefs and practices.

New Release: The Orthodox Truth - Collected Works
We must think with the mind of the Church to understand our place in history is that alone of all “world religions,” the Christian revelation declares that the true God acts in history and makes Himself known through history. Only the Church teaches that God became a particular man at a particular time in a particular place. Christians live from prior events in history of the Creation and the Incarnation, and towards the Second Coming, the End of the World, and the Dread Judgment. Our faith is uniquely tied to history, and it was, in fact, the Christian Faith that gave birth to historical consciousness and the academic study of history. Ultimately what we learn here should inspire us to take action, to live in a certain way based on the understanding we acquire.
